Actually, it's officer discretion weather or not to shut you down and you have to be 100% on the paper. Just means they will find a reason. Non ELD trucks now have a huge target on them.

New years resolution 2018.
I am no longer going to fix any trailer that I pick up that is messed up I, am done.
It's not like I have to worry about my lease being terminated for doing it because no one gets punished for it.
I'm tired of being a "team player" when 95% of the time I'm picking up trailers with more issues than Highlights. I must be on the wrong team.drvrtech77 Thanks this. -

I will however keep track of every hour where I pick up a trailer and immediately go to a shop and submit detention requests until I get my point across that it's something that needs to be addressed.MachoCyclone and Treputt Thank this. -

Picked up my preloaded trailer with 2 bad tires. Figure I lost about 400 miles of productivity getting them changed out.
