Easy quick fix. The old gasket disintegrated. So, new gasket and a refill of the diff fluid and everything will be good to go. The black specs is what is left of the old gasket.
CannonballAA Thanks this. -

I don't know if you guys and gals have noticed, JCT isn't getting much love on social media, particularly this forum.
Granted, the OP currently trashing JCT was probably ill prepared to run any business.
I wonder if any current drivers with more than 12 months here feel as I do about things.
About 18 or so months back, JCT dropped their driving experience requirement from 24 months to 6. Since then I've noticed an uptick in trailer issues. These issues range from air lines dragging to the obvious tire issues as well as general physical damage to the trailers.
Now JCT is planning on installing driver facing cameras on all trucks over the next year or two. Obviously hiring a bunch of less experienced drivers is causing insurance rates to go up which is why the cameras are being installed. The more safety tech installed on trucks, the better insurance rates we all get.
I'm not sure if losing drivers or wanting to grow larger was the reason for the drop in experience requirements but that's why they are bringing the cameras.
Our 17' is really close to being paid off is the only reason we are still here. This is not the same company we signed on with 2 1/2 years ago. That guy in Sapulpa with the black Stetson is calling me fairly regularly making sure we are happy lately. I guess they are desperately trying to hold on to their dependable teams with no otd failures or CSA points.I thought the QC about their CSA score was funny as they only have themselves to blame.
It's almost as though JCT is trying to become a starter company. Well, they are just about there.Jarhed1964, scottied67, drvrtech77 and 1 other person Thank this. -

Speaking from past experience (over 8 years with JCT) It is not just JCT that is not the same. The industry and the work ethic of many in this country has gone down hill. Having left and moved on to greener pastures (Landstar) I still contend JCT is a perfect permanent home for some, for others it is a great stepping stone/learning experience before deciding to step up, or get honest with oneself. Not everybody is cut out to run a business. Sadly few will admit their mistakes, instead they will blame the carrier and leave an experience like JCT to try again elsewhere without learning from their failure. And in doing so be doomed to continously repeat previous failures.

I didn't get the QC about the CSA score. Also didn't know about the new 6 months requirement. LOL
All I know is clock is ticking before a camera comes my way so I'm working hard on my next option.
Won't drive this truck across the parking lot with a camera in it.
