Yeah but you can usually request the 40 pay route. I do it all the time. Keeps the load in "swap territory" as they tell me. That and I like the 40, less flipping trailers in high winds.

Well today I started my annual project that I hate....painting tires. So time consuming, but I guess when i pick up a trailer at a customer and go 30 miles down the to the shop to get 4 tires replaced AND a friggin light fixed, I have time to start on them. Thank you, you crappy, sh1thead driver that is apparently blind.

Well the tire I had patched this AM, this PM during postrip I see a huge chunk of missing tread so the entire tire will have to be replaced. This will be Tire #2 replaced in 6 weeks that I have been leased on.

So I get a pre-plan to load in Belvidere Illinois at Atlas Cold Storage. My drop off from my previous load was 10 a.m. in Chicago, this pickup I was at 11 a.m. . Before I accepted the pre-plan I told them that it's going to be impossible. They told me just get there as soon as you can. I get unloaded plot my route put a truck wash in the middle of it for the trailer and tell them I'll be there 3 hours after drop. They say that's fine that'll work. Just showed up at Atlas and they said that they're leaving in 10 minutes and I'll have to come back Monday.
