If you have less than a solid year of experience elsewhere...I can't in all honesty recommend going intermodal, anyway.
Instead -- look for a dedicated gig with one of the big-box retailers: Lowe's, Home Depot, Walmart, Costco, Bass Pro Shops. Those are MUCH BETTER choices for a 1st-year driver.
Avoid any/all "dollar store" accounts/jobs. They are a beginner's worst nightmare.

Also, why don’t you recommend intermodal? -

thank you. I’m gonna try it out and if anything, I’ll switch to a different division / account or company after a few months.

I drive for Schneider. This will be my 2nd week out of their training program. I went to a truck driving school for a month before I got hired on with Schneider. I drive OTR-Core Regional Dry Van. I drive 37 states east of Denver. I’m out 11 days and home 3. The pay during training is $10/hr. After training I was hired at 42cpm. I’ve only had 1 fairly decent paycheck so far, still very low for the industry but I’m new at it. I’m still learning. I hate that DOT clock. That thing will break you if you’re like me and learning. “On Duty” is your enemy, so is that driver’s door. If those wheels aren’t turning, you’re not earning. I’m stuck right now until Tuesday from that 70hr PITA. So I’m at a truck stop near Olive Branch, Ms doing a 34 hour reset because I didn’t watch my clock close enough and I’m learning how to use that stupid tablet. If we still used paper logs….. Just sayin’- I could make some money. But every time Uncle Sam gets involved… Well, he just sucks the life out of it all. Just my 2¢

In past younger go getter days, I frequently combined short runs at end of 70 to meet my many consecutive 11hr days coming back. Run hours back out, rinse & repeat. Usually beat sitting around for 34hrs.
It's all new & you will figure how to game/work that clock. Comes with time & trial/error. Solo entails a lot more working of that clock than team, by far, if you are to max earnings. It'll come as you learn. No substitute or shortcut but for actual experience & figuring it out.
Great thing about team/training with 2 clocks, one was almost nearly aways able to drive.
Used to work it to where after several coast to coasts & both running short, one would double back on shift to allow other to get 34hr in. Then repeat for other guy.
Man, used to be able to run some crazy average miles/wk team that way.Cherokee65 Thanks this.
