Nothing, I get H rated lo pro Z steers for 580 ea. I am happy! If I give my tire shop the old carcass and they put em on for free. They recap the carcass and make trailer tires.

Chunks shouldn't cause this since it does impact the structure of the tire. If you see a belt, they go instantly

Nah, they just have to threaten their families more, and whip them harder.

Best I can find Mich 16 ply 22.5 for right now is $1600 balanced and mounted. Had one local tire shop quote me near two grand for Firestone.

I’ve heard complaints about 283a and 284 Bridgestones and it made me hesitant to get the 213 on my new truck. I actually did a count and I have a set of 283a on my T680 with 130k miles on them still looking really good. I also have 3 283a and 2 of the 284 on my trailers and they all also hold up good.

The Bridgestones that suck are the trailer ones, 123’s maybe? I forgot. Brand new trailer came with 8 of them. 10 months later probably 4 of them are all cut up. And this is a dry van that only runs I-10.

How did your last set end their life? As In did they wear properly, use up all the tread and last till the very end?

Nothing worse then spending big money on tires and a month down the road you see a bad wear pattern starting.

I know I will get thrown to the wolves for this, but I go, Wheel alignment > cheapest quality brand I can find > then chinese brand > wheel alignment > cheapest quality brand I can find > Chinese etc etc

Michelens etc are worth it if you can get the tyre to its tread depth markers, and full life cycle, but I usually find 7/10 tyres don't make it that far, so I don't think it's worth it.

On this truck it’s a bit older so I did the kingpins both sides, tie rod ends, drag link, shocks, centramatics and then alignment. If your truck isn’t good your tires won’t be good.
