I drove for Crete, there parent company, we shared terminals and maintenance. You can expect a very long wait at the terminal maintenance shops no matter where you are. Wilmer is the worst, KC is a close second. They keep the trailer washed out, but only allow you to wash the truck every 45 days. I left because I I was on the Midwest fleet and was loaned in to Wal-Mart dedicated for supposed two weeks to help out for Thanksgiving rush, in August of that year, they said they wanted me to stay or I could quit. I hit the road. Good luck. If you are with Shaffer, I sure you know that the director of maintenance is the founders grandson. check back a couple years back and watch him learning how to change tires and other feats of mechanic work in his suit pants and white long sleeve shirt. Got love it.Blue jeans, cuzzin it, catdog45 and 1 other person Thank this.

Shaffer was bad, I left in 2017. Late getting home after WEEKS of notice that they had. Delays & waiting after u unld, needing repairs or PMs , long waits getting lded & unlded. Pay wasn’t what they promised, it was much lower because of all the delays. They write drivers up for stupid crap like having too many belongings. 5 drivers turned their truck in & quit the same day I did at one of their smallest terminals, Deland, FL. What does that tell you ?catdog45 Thanks this.

Too many belongings? What does that mean exactly? Like too many clothes and personal goods that make life in a rolling closet easier to live in? I'd clean my nuts with that write up . Talk about crap companyBlue jeans and catdog45 Thank this.

Yes, the KC Shop refused to work on my truck because I had a lot of clothes, canned food, and bottled water ! They wrote me up ! The terminal manager there made me tidy things up and he even had to look behind the curtain after I tidied up. I had to wait over an hr for him to inspect my trk , and after he looked behind the closed curtain, failed me again. I stayed out OTR for 4 to 6 wks at a time and they didn’t care and didn’t think that I needed belongings ! Absolutely ridiculous when other drivers stink their trucks up w/ dogs and/ or cigarettes or other filth. They sucked, fussy a- holes who also expect a truck to look brand new after 400,000 to 500,000 miles when you turn it in and they charge you $$$ when it isn’! I quit in 2017 !catdog45, TruckGal13 and CorsairFanboy Thank this.

I've heard TMC is that same way. Id be shocked if any company that is worth a #### would treat you like a Holocaust victim in a Barack .catdog45 Thanks this.

I wrote the above, starting with the words “ I don’t know, but TMC”
catdog45 Thanks this. -
I sure hope they don’t pay on percentage. They came in and cut our rate by 40%. I guess the company makes their money on volume.
catdog45 Thanks this. -
