I thought I was the only 1 with satellite issue. I keep moving the antenna wire till it work. Or log in online and sent a refresh signal, eventually it work again

Don't ever mount ANYTHING on the dash. Except for a cb. Mounting on a windshield protects from the vibration. Put a bottle of water in your cup holder and watch it. That's the same thing your electronic devices go through.
tow614 Thanks this. -
Now what really irked me was "the deal"..... the woo was strong and she worked it hard but like I told her, it was no deal...you're giving me nothing.
The offer: 5 months for $25 plus the fees and taxes, $32.xx all done and that sounds good doesn't it......especially since I pay $18.xx all done every month BUT they have a 3 month free promotion running right now. Sign up and get 3 free SO I would have paid $32.xx for 2 months or just about what I pay now. Not bad for smoke and mirrors though.....
I was a fool for not taking lifetime XM for $400 one time only long ago....... or buying the stock......
My 2 cents -
Regarding those having issues with cradle connections getting sketchy over time. I used to use the older Delphi SkyFi tuners on motorcycles. Some velcro to secure the unit firmly in the cradle eliminated most of the trouble. If memory serves, I put a small strip on the back of the unit and the corresponding spot in the cradle. When you pushed it in, the velcro would wedge together and lock the unit in while also absorb some vibration. The contacts would still get dirty over time every year or two. Simply clean the contacts with a pencil eraser. Good as new. May not be as effective on the Onyx as I believe the contacts are a socket arrangement, not a surface contact like the Delphis were.

Not really. If you read the fine print, you would have noticed that lifetime subscription offer was locked to that device and not transferrable. Probably would not have been a good value, given the useful lifecycle on electronics like this is about 2 years. Not surprisingly, the lifetime deal worked out to about 4 years at the annual rate.
Thank you sir, didn't see that. Only said no in the front because it seemed too good to be true. You are correct, a locked contract would have been a bad deal.
Tks -
had that loss signal issue with my old radio. It had been moved to about 3 different trucks and kinda bounced around in the overhead a little bit. I was told by a shop I buy extras from that the internal connection for the antenna is very fragile and that is what breaks most of the time They have a guy for $50 you send him the radio and he fixes it.
PM if you want the shop name or info. Found them on amazon, great people with super fast shipping. Out of Chicago.
MY radio now is the onyx plus. still hanging in just fine. -
Well on the second onyx plus because the first one had "antenna issues" and this one is doing the same thing. The replacement is just as big of a piece of #### as the first. The radio itself is great. The antenna dock is garbage. Unreal.

well I've had my onyx plus a week now, And it works great ! Only down side is Howard is on vacation, and I've been listening to reruns. I picked up a part time job to help get me to a place that will make it easyer money wise. To get into a trucking school. So I've tried to listen to the truckers radio but its nothing but commercials ? And what little bit I did hear was just BAD !
