So, back to Shaffer's disorganization. At 3 pm local time (2 pm company time) I message them about the shipper being closed, and set a new pta for morning. I get a "noted" message from Mike Balm. At 4:15 pm I get the "more than one hour has passed....blah blah blah" message. Which means, the load is still on me, and no new pta has been set. I wonder if I just go ahead and put in for detention time between 4pm and whenever they finally figure out that I am not getting loaded, would they pay me days of layover. I did my job and communicated the problem...it's not my job to make Lincoln do their job.

Yes, if they don't take you off it until let's say 1am they should pay for the detention. I always get the message when they void a load of me to submit detention.

    Lonesome and Trucker61016 Thank this.

I messaged them again, and it was close to my A/M's quitting time. He said 'checking in to it, stand by", and that was it. Left hanging. My opinion of him has taken another step down. So, I just sent after hours another message. If they leave me hanging, I may put my stuff in a storage facility and ride the dog to the house and pick the stuff once I get on with next carrier. This place has gone down the drain so far, they'll be pumped out with the next septic tank clean out.

You’ve worked for this three ring circus company three times. You knew it was going to be the same the second and third time and you know it’s going to be the same when you come back for the fourth time.

The only thing that matters is box 1 on the W2. The daily and weekly ups and downs don’t make a difference.

It's worse now than ever before. The only real issue I had the 1st 2 times were contstant equipment issues (yes, there were micromanaging conflicts, but they weren't as problematic as the equipment failures). This time, other than the nanny sensor annoyances and the retarded AMT programming, the equipment hasn't really been the issue. Right now, I think the people in Lincoln would #### up a wet dream.

In my defense (if you can call it that), I was lead to believe that things had changed and the company had improved some of the stupidity that they were known for. I guess the old saying is right, a leopard can't change it's spots, because nothing has really changed since I was here last as far as how operations does things.

I am voided off the load, but now I am on a worse load (@drvrtech77, see what I meant when I said I was leary about refusing the other load to start with?). Now I pick up a load that is being t-called tomorrow morning and live unloading it in Vineland NJ on Monday. 506 miles, which will put me just under 12,100 miles for the month after running 7500 of those by the 15th. Plus I won't even be in the same time zone as last quarter's miles. I can honestly see why so many of the new breed this company hires only run 3-400 miles a day. It simply isn't worth the physical punishment to run any harder just to make these people richer.

Of course, it never helps when your shop is full of unmotivated wannabe union idiots who won’t do diddly squat unless they’re told to like my terminal’s shop.

I’ll just say this… They’re probably doing it for a reason. Because I turned down a 300 mile run the other day and I got a 350 mile run to replace it with 1051 mile run behind it and tomorrow when I drop in Murfreesboro I have another 500+ mile run. Deliver the next day… Just saying.

    Trucker61016 and Speedy356 Thank this.
