I aim for 10,000 miles a month, if not a bit over. I see no point working myself to death and despair. I take a bit more hometime than the average driver because I actually want to see my family and friends on a regular, consistent basis. One of the main reasons why I went back to regional. That to me is way more important than chasing miles

The thing is, we have a bunch of drivers here who cry and complain if they're asked to run over 350-400 per day. They should take advantage of drivers like me who can offset the fleet average so they can advertise that drivers are getting xxx miles per day. They bombard us with recruiting messages because they claim they are rejecting freight because they don't have the drivers to cover...something isn't jiving there someplace.

I just hope Brakbush has an opening soon, so I can get the flying fornication out of here asap and get with a company that actually respects their drivers, not just says it.

Brakebush seems to be a top notch fleet. I hope they come through for Snackbar. I remember when I was a kid when they’d pull into the truckstop at home. First gen T600 KW’s with Aero 1 bunks and stainless trailers. I loved those things.

I see their website says most drivers are home for their 34. Will they get you home more than you are now? Or will you stay out and take extended time at home?

If 10,000 miles works you to death, then maybe you shoul have bought a daycab. That kind of mentality has you bordering on being called a flip-flop wearing, steering wheel holding new breed.

was that early 90’s? I’ll have to see if I can go hunt down a picture. I can’t remember the last time I saw a yellow t6.

At least he’s not whining about his miles like you do. Maybe he’s learned how to budget.

Would’ve been late 80’s / early 90’s. They used to stop at the Triple H at home all the time. I wish someone would’ve put a camera in my hand when I was a kid.
