That makes no sense SSB. You’re constantly angry and stressed out and for what? An extra 500 miles a week that you have to get to survive?

I’m glad to be in that 10k mile per month club, life’s to short to wither away on the road. I could survive on less but why would I want to? I put all my extra earnings into my 401k. I do wear work boots though….I pull a tanker so PPE is required.

I’ve followed ssb’s threads for years. He’s never been happy for any length of time with the dozens of mega turd carriers he’s worked for. You can bet that if he’s gets the job driving the yellow chicken truck two months into it he’ll be whining about that place too.

BS. He was happy at Moore and SPD until they were sold out and started making crappy changes. When they were running him hard, he had few complaints.

This is kinda what I think happens. It seems like if I stay out early, I get a lot of miles then it dries up close to the end of the quarter, but if I go home early, I get a push at the end to try and make the bonus. I try not to worry about it too much. I think they dont want to pay a ton out for the bonus so throttle it. I might maybe possibly hit $100k this year, but idk. I also make i think 6 or 7 cpm more than ssb because they cut pay for new hires, but not existing drivers a couple years ago.

The problem is the very minute he has bad week which everyone does time to time he goes off the rails and starts bellyaching and such that he starts talking about quitting…

'A' bad week? Try 3 bad weeks mo-fo. And if Einstein doesn't push to get a load that delivers by Friday's payroll cutoff, it will be 4 in a row. If that happened to you, you would be calling every exec you could to try to get someone fired (or that would be what you tell everybody, whether it really happenes that way or it might be you're just being a big talking know it all thinking people are impressed by your mouth, if they believe your b.s.)

You really don't even have to go that far back, after my July hometime, for 5 or 6 weeks I was running good miles, and I didn't have any negativity to post. But the following 3 weeks wiped away all the gains I made during those weeks.

It goes beyond being down 500+ miles a week. At 10k, I am paying the bills, but part of the reason I push for the extra is to try to get my savings built back up. Yes, I did get a little careless in spending when I was at SPD, thinking that I had found a company I could replenish my savings more easily, and it wasn't long after that, was when SPD changed their pay, then Daseke made their changes, and sold out, then W-TFI made their changes, and the savings started being used to cover the pay drop. The way things are going, I am trying to build up another cushion for when the economy tanks even further. And with the Ego-in-Chief we have now, the way it's going, he's gonna embargo the economy into a depression.

Well honestly a recession or depression will bring the market back to normal it's been inflated ever since before COVID...then the economy has been on fire with constant gains since 2021....by the way a recession followed by a correction in the Market would bring trucking rates back up because they'll need to replenish the shelves.....it's needed to crash for some time honestly....
