^^THIS^^ A company the size of Creaffer should always have someone around who can handle this.Schafer is a reefer company, it's not like lumper payments are an unknown concept to them.

Most of the Crapstone locations I delivered to had a Crete/Shaffer account.

Poly was something like that, and they knew which customers needed lumper money and would load your card, then you just cut a check from that money

This capstone location was at a Food Lion. Only good thing about capstone is everything is done by a txt so easy to pay and get a receipt sent.

Hopefully this is the first and last time this happens this year(knock on wood).

Seem to be stuck in this section of the states at the moment. Picking up a load right now in VA headed to NJ. Place is located right on the border to NY off i95.

Usually every load I ever took this far into NJ always lead to me dh to the M&M plant for a load out. Let's see if the next one is j

Still think lumpers are the biggest scam in the industry. Charging us to unload their own ####ing freight...how can they get away with this. Absolutely unreal

Because many of the warehouses don’t want the staff on their books and thus outsource to the third party lumpers.

What never made sense to me is why companies don’t establish direct payment services so drivers don’t need to do any more than verify the unloading is complete. It’s just lazy on their parts to stick with the system they have, especially in the times of electronic payments.

Aka respect drivers time and run an efficient operation... also more downtime for all of us means less freight moving... what a mess what are there people being paid to do? Disorganized mega I guess...

Finally got someone from payroll and am told they don't show any lumper code being issued to me yesterday so should not have any issue on payday.

Miss hauling tankers. No such thing as "lumper" payments.

We used yo be direct bill with the lumper service at ben e kieth in ft worth. We also have outside carriers pulling our trailers. The outside carrier drivers would tell the lumper service they were our company and our company would fight the charges for those loads so now we have to get an express code and pay their lumper fees

That's why I like open deck...a pain in the back from tarping beats the pains in the ### of grocery warehouses any day
