Show up to the same shipper at 3:40 for a 4 am appointment and security tells me that shipping doesn't bring him the truck schedule until 4:15-4:30...what the hell, why schedule trucks into the place at 4 if they won't let you in. Cottage Bakery (a.k.a. Rich's) in Lodi is a joke. I honestly hope they don't ever send me to this place again. Maybe this is why they gave me 7 days to run 2200 miles.
Update - it got worse. Finally got checked in. Then you drop your check-in sheet at the shipping window and wait. After 45 min (I am the only truck here) they call and say my load is on hold and will need to be rescheduled. 3 ####ing days wasted on this #### hole. I hope Shaffers TONU fee is HUGE for all their disorganized bull crap. I am starting to miss open deck. The back pain I got from that is less painful than this bull -bleep-Last edited: Mar 31, 2025
Lonesome, Knucklehead, Bumper and 2 others Thank this. -
Load #2 cancelled, now I am headed to Gustine, CA to pick up some sort of dairy products going to Henderson NV for tomorrow. Thankfully headed south of all the winter crap on Donner. They had the chain laws up going over according to the Caltrans app.
Bumper, hope not dumb twucker, scythe08 and 2 others Thank this. -
Made quite a few ice cream runs into Henderson Nevada. I would imagine you are going to go south on the I 5 and then around Tehachapi.hope not dumb twucker and Lonesome Thank this.

Yep, but I am taking chilled dairy load to MB (McDonald's). With my early start, then delay with the previous load, I am gonna have to split a break to make delivery. They also planned me on my next load, but I can't do it. I deliver(live unload) at 7 am, but they wanted me to live load at Ocean Spray at 17:00 and be in SLC the next afternoon.Last edited: Mar 31, 2025

I have had to re-enter my trailer number 4x while here at this shipper. Every time I move my truck up a spot in line, it deletes it...maybe SPD's Sam-crappa wasn't so bad after all.
D.Tibbitt, hope not dumb twucker, kylefitzy and 1 other person Thank this. -
Are you entering the trailer number in the loaded call?.. or the log entry?
-
Log entry until I get loaded and get my paperwork. It was on there when they dispatched me on the load, but disappears while I am at the shipper.
-
a lot of the times once you send in your loaded call with your trailer number it’ll update it automatically
-
Done that run so many times I can close my eyes and drive it. When I was picking up In and Out Burgers produce I would make that run and then down into Ontario for delivery. Ah the good old days. $300 a day cash in my pocket and no questions asked.D.Tibbitt, hotrod1653, Knucklehead and 1 other person Thank this.
