I haul pharma and we have the 200 mile rule on some loads. We used to have to call every time we stopped, started and detoured off the arranged route. But now it’s just the 200 miles.
Some loads are so valuable they can’t load more than 6-7 pallets on a truck or the insurance won’t cover it.
I also had it when I was with Magnum, hauling Guinness out of Jersey City NJ

That's the difference between hauling a box trailer and open deck. At SPD, high dollar aerospace loads weren't uncommon, but because of the type of freight, it usually took a big forklift or a crane to unload, so we weren't tracked.

This is a first since I came back. I delivered my pharma load yesterday with my PTA set for this morning (I set it when I sent in my load call)...and they still haven't sent me anything. Must be some residual effects from the Easter holiday.

The pre-Easter video from the bossman said a few of our customers are actually shutting down for a week starting Easter Sunday.

Nothing like having and abs issue and then a fool unplugs it and tucks the cable up underneath and never reports it and drops it at shipper..

Got a load. I am meeting a driver in Wichita Falls this afternoon and taking his load to Atlanta. It needs to be there before midnight tomorrow night. 1018 more miles this week which will put me over 3200 for the pay period and 10250 for the month with 5 days to go.
