I will go over on a pm before I let any of them near my truck. I would be towed off their lot if I broke down pulling in .

As you can see I have nothing but contempt for these thieves . They just rape and destroy in my experience . I will stop before I go into an old man rant . I can feel my blood pressure going up just thinking about it LOL

Agreed. Absolute last resort. I'll change my oil out early at home, or run it late to get home rather than risk these fools.

The more you encourage their behaviour . . .

TA/Petro is really hit and miss much like their resturants. Too many times they wanted to skip the grease on a PM for me to consider going back. I suppose you could always babysit...

I have had same issues as others. I've used TA/Petro. Boss. Sapp. Speedco. All the same. It depends on the talent of the worker.
My preference is to do it myself at home or when pressed for time I have the local shop do it.

TA Petro for years. Went to one TA a few years back, went to shower and come back, guy says it's all ready to go. I'm thinking, 'what about the deal where you have to show me the dipstick before "I" start the truck?' See the guy had already started thetruck up and closed the hood. I drove it out and hooked up my trailer then came back around to fuel and decided to open the hood to look around out of habit. Discovered the oil filler cap was missing. Walked back over to the dude, he found the cap right on the ground where he left it when he originally took it off.

Fast forward a couple years I'm back at the same TA for an oil change. Again go in for a shower. Bear in mind I told the kid before I went in 'the fuel pump is busted, must prime it to start'. Come back from shower and they have the service truck in there trying to jump start my truck. I'm like OK stop first show me the dipstick. Now go get your pressure can full of diesel and prime the fuel pump. Well we got her started in the end.

If in Baytown the place called Truck King just on the other side (south)of the Blue Beacon does a really good job and normally much faster than speedco or ta. Normally about $30 cheaper also.

I will say something about an experience I had.

I wanted to like goodyear, had my first oil change done there...immediately after they finish and I start my truck my engine starts throwing codes....the ####? They clear them out... have had the service done at speedco twice since then...never happened again. This was a really dumpy goodyear somewhere in KY..don't think the tech had a clue... they go " yeah it happens all the time with these new motors"...gtfo

I've also had a TA tech overfill my oil crankcase as well. Blew out the oil pressure sensor.

The GPS gave me a maintenance reminder today, 15,000 miles since last oil change so will have to get one this week.

TA used to be my first choice for the convenience factor, but they're now a last resort. They just manage to #### up the most basic #### time and time again...

And they're shysters. Had one mechanic show me a dirty paper air filter and try to sell me a new one (I have an obnoxiously pink K&N).
