As some of you may or may not know, I chose Magnum Transportation to be my next company. A series of family losses made me realize that Schneider didn't offer the flexibility i needed, among other things. I created this thread to summarize my experiences with Magnum, similar to vipie1992 with Schneider and probably countless others
Anyways I'm on my final week with the pumpkin, and they decided to apparently put me back on the dedicated account I've been working on the past 4 months, which is fine by me. They transferred me back to VTL on a Thursday and the first two days were fine, but the weekend was a total crap shoot. It would take far too long to discuss here but I'll just say that i don't miss regular OTR one bit. My orientation is set for next Monday in Fargo. I've no idea if they're going to fly me there or rent me a car, I'm assuming that I'll find out sometime this week. Tony also said that since I already have 6 months experience that I probably wouldn't be out on the road for the full 4 weeks after orientation. However I'll accept any amount of training. I'm still very much learning new things everyday. Super excited to start with them on the 26th!

Good luck with Magnum. Did you see the Magnum thread in the favorite trucking companies section? It's not as active as it once was but maybe you'll change that.

I talked with Tony yesterday and the tentative plan is for me to drop my truck at Schneider's Gary OC, catch an uber to Midway airport in Chicago, and drive a rental car up to Fargo. However the rental car was booked with unlimited mileage, so i might just go home to Michigan on Friday and then drive up to Fargo on Sunday.slim shady, bryan21384 and Lonesome Thank this.

Yes, that's what made me choose the company. I only read maybe the first 50 pages or so of that thread but it was more than enough to convince me to go with Magnum. I wanted to drive for a company that i could see myself working at long term.Goldenfan, bryan21384 and Chinatown Thank this.

Good luck with your new endeavor. Keep an open mind and a positive attitude and make what you want out of the change.
Here's a pic of one of my trucks to help keep your truckin' spirits high...Speed_Drums and cdavis188 Thank this. -
Thank you, and that's a sharp looking ride. Don't see many of those Eagle's on the road and when i do see them the majority of them look to be pieces of work.Speed_Drums Thanks this.
