Ask your company if you get them, and if so, how you qualify for them.
If they are more than a mom and pop organization, they likely have a document they send out to drivers that explains all the non-driving or supplemental pay methods.

This is a really good tip, although I have found that different trucks may have different sides (driver vs passenger) that look straight when backing, due to differing mirror placement (further out or forward relative to other trucks, which is a fixed position and not adjustable.) I do agree with you on the passenger side mirror having the more accurate view for the majority of trucks that I've driven.FlaSwampRat, Farmerbob1 and tarmadilo Thank this.

Yes, because you are looking down at a steeper angle to the driver side mirror than the passenger side mirror. A steeper angle of viewing generates a more skewed view.FlaSwampRat Thanks this.

Everyone has their own preferred way of backing and tricks to the fact, but some days you’ll find a spot thats easy and you’ll mess up, it all goes down to your setup, get it right it’ll back right in, mess up the setup you’ll have to work for it.
Easiest way I have found, you can try this but mental picture what the vehicle would be coming out of the spot, it will follow the same.
I cant jackkife back, pulled a spread for years and they wont go that tight turn way, you’ll pull a tire off the rim first.
When you want a spot, of course drive as close to it as you can, if its trucks, drive passed that spot and when you go passed the next guys driverside of his truck swing out to right like you were going to go to a row up front then turn hard left and youll be in the setup to follow it on back in, dont double hand ghe steering, you’ll over correct, keep left arm on door steering with right and watch your position, if you get out, go for it, as long as you dont hit anything, practice when you have the time.Last edited: Nov 8, 2019
