The correct way to quit Knight Transportation.

Is not knight a bad company? YES! and in your statement you said he brought himself down to the company's level.
IE: he is bad.
Don't reply because I'm not gonna go back and forth with you. You're trying to defend your statement, one that was wrong, admit it you were wrong and move on, we'll all be better for it.

 

that's the problem too many steering wheel holders in this industry maybe they need to go back to their McDonalds jobs

A DAC report, good, bad, otherwise is not the be all, end all for drivers. It may mean a little more work to find a suitable company. Some of you guys sure like to preach, maybe the OP or any other similar person should just stay bent over and keep doing the same thing? Maybe said people could do the "right" thing and still have a vindictive DAC report because the scuzzball companies are just that. How many times have we heard of all that?

 

I worked for Knight for two years and some change. I was hired on when they required two years experience. Once they started asking company coolies if they would be interested in becoming trainers, most drivers with multiple years at the company left. I hung around a bit until they unofficially did away with regional and we ended doing "favors" for other terminals while staying out for three weeks.

I was in Dothan Alabama after being out for three weeks. Made a delivery at some crap hole beverage distributer at 0600 on a Thursday after driving all night from Macon after a typical 6 hour live load. Got my next load...picking up the next day 20 miles away and going to Columbus Ohio for Monday.

I quit on the Qualcomm. Told them I would be purchasing the fuel to drive home to Dallas and would have the truck cleaner than when I got it. They called on the phone and it was a pretty tense exchange. Ended up....they magically found a load picking up in Dothan going to Ikea in Frisco Texas for Sunday morning. I got the load, drove the 750 miles to Dallas, cleaned out the truck and went home. Came back in at 0400 Sunday and delivered that load.

This was years ago and they STILL to this day send me emails and junk mail to my house.

I'm not sure how Knight markets themselves to customers but I ended up at some of the most horrid places in some of the worst areas of North America picking up cheap junk freight. I swear it's amazing I didn't ever end up getting stabbed or having to stab someone while conducting business for this horrid junk hauler.

"You need #### pick upped and delivered? CALL US cheap rates. Any crap anytime anywhere! We won't be under bid!"
