Time to install IFTA sticker

I'm glad you posted this I completely forgot about putting that on today.

 

I had to install new stickers on our truck. Used a torpedo heater to heat the sides and used a laser thermometer to make sure the surface was close to 60 degrees. Worked well..

 

In the US you have until the end of Feb

 

Make sure to stick it at the back and bottom of eighter the cab or sleeper if you have one. Lot's of guys don't pay attention to the instructions that come with them.

I would warm up the spot where you want to stick them or they will eventually "lift".

 

I see people running around with just the 2015 still on there, means they got away the whole year with DOT not giving a #### about the sticker. Long as your paperwork is up to date.

 

I seen a guy have it wrapped around his CB antenna (like a flag) no idea why he did it but I did get a chuckle out of it.

Im sure its not so much about reading the instructions as maybe they just dont give a crap, people put them where they want for the most part. (As long as its visible to DOT.

 

Yup, i spent at least two hours peeling off ifta stickers dating back to 2005 on the tractor I'm in. Paint started coming off with them

 

It needs to be on by the end of feb. This is a nice revenue stream for some states if you dont have the sticker on. They really do look for them lol. In addition the DOT can tell by the VIN.

 

We are past overdue for a planetary polarity flip where the earth flips on its axis and January will be high summer. Gotta love IFTA's forward thinking on this.
