Unless it is posted on a billboard? It is going to be hard to have the court side with the officer that tickets the trucker from a banned road.

They had the digital billboards up all over with the truck ban last night. No excuse to have missed it, and it was only west of exit 46 near Rochester, these guys just didnt want to detour the 30 miles.

This is the part where the judge is likely going to side with the officer:

"The drivers of the tractor trailers, 41-year-old Richard Magezi of Texas and 54-year-old Michael Lambert of Connecticut, were ticketed for disobeying a traffic control device, speed not reasonable and prudent, following too closely and driving across hazard markings." Shoot, I'm nodding my head in agreement from 2,000 miles away.

They injured a cop. I'm surprised it's only 4 tickets.....

    State Trooper at that.

Expect them to remember for a long time.

Usually whatever fines one would get for such stupidity in other states,NYS would tack on an additional $1000.

I think I wanna whack these numbskulls with a police baton a few times.

So it’s the state’s fault those clown got on the thruway when it was posted all over the place that it was closed?? I ran along I86 and they even had signs along there. Problem is dumb***** who think those truck bans don’t apply to them.... or they get some stupid ideas that it’s just the gubbermint getting its kicks off of oppressing drivers(eye roll). It’s simple. If the road is officially closed, PARK IT AND WAIT. Those idiots chose to drive along there when they were officially told not to, probably too fast for the already bad conditions and boom... I have no sympathy for those drivers. Thanks to those idiots, truckers will have an even bigger black eye in that state.
