A lot of folks hate on reefer, but it's important to realize that a lot of what people don't like about reefer is because of the company they worked for, and their own personal preferences.
Personally, I sleep better with a reefer motor running. It's white noise.
I also have no preference for day or night driving or sleeping. If I flip from days to nights in less than 48 hours, I have to run an 8-2 split sometimes to get a nap in.
Finally, working for Shaffer, more than half my reefer loads are drop and hook.
It's not for everyone, but pulling a reefer can be just what some people want.

I've always heard Roehl hires and runs up yonder your way, flatbed and van I think, and schneider goes up there, probably have van, reefer, flat and tanker options too.Oldironfan Thanks this.

Schneider does not allow dogs. And you must be company driver for 6 months before you lease on. I do not wonder why they have a high turnover or a high demand for drivers.Rocknroller4 Thanks this.

Marten transport, been here almost 5 yrs. Apu, inverter, $20/hr. Detention pay after 1hr. $20/hr. Inclement weather pay.

Reefer wait times are going to be MUCH worse than what you are used to without it being drop and hook.

That part sounds great do they do teams and if so what's their CPM?

Ok thanks if you find that out let me know hopefully they do a lot of drop and hook and less waiting around at shippers and receivers.

They do drop and hook, but also live ld. And live unld. And you do get $20 an hour after 1 hour. I will find out team cpm tomorrow and post .cincydrivermatt Thanks this.
