The last time I went to Canada would have been through North Portal SK. They had me back up to their docks so they could search the load. They also got inside my truck to search around but I never saw any evidence they even touched anything. I even had a small tupperware thing full of baking soda which to the untrained eye would look like cocaine.

They had me there quite a while asking me all kinds of questions, where I had lived, where I had been stationed in the Marines, why was I crossing there when my delivery was in Calgary AB 3 days hence etc. Finally, they ended up frisking my dog and let us go.

Crossing over by Michigan, Detroit or port Huron seem better, port Huron more than Detroit.

I'm currently in Canada and when I cross, the guard took my paper, didn't utter a word, close the window. A minute later just hand my paperwork and I left.

One time crossing, I get the usually question, but this time he ask how many times do I cross? In my mind I'm like oh crap, this is it, he's gna ask more question and I'm get search and hold up for hours. But he pause and look at his screen and I was free to go.

Just like getting a dot level 1 inspection, it hadn't happen yet but I know 1 day they are gna ruin my day

In 2010 I crossed from Windsor ON into Detroit. Was moving to Seattle again. The border guard asked why i was moving and why I was crossing here. I told him i had been visiting with my family in Montreal. No big deal there. He asked me what I was going to do for work in Seattle and I said I was was going to sell Hondas. At that point he asked me to get out, stand to the side, and started searching my car, all the while asking me about how to get the best price on a new car. I swear he searched just so he could ask me questions about buying a car.

I was friendly and gave him good advice and he was happy. He shook my hand, swear to god.

Only time Canada Customs searched me was on my first trip there on a Stevens Transport Dumb and Dumber team. Guess maybe that's why.

And here we always called Canadians "Our friends to the North". Some friends you turned out to be. See if you get another Christmas card from me. But you can make it up to us.... Just take Justin back and send us Shania Twain instead.

On second thought, we will keep Justin if you take Hillary.
