Some doctor talked me into a colonoscopy when I was 45 because they found polyps in my dad when he was 58. Back then they generally started at 55 but "if you have a family history you should have one at 45." (Now I guess they start in on people at 45.)

So, after that one I said never again. New doc tried to talk me into another a few years in a row, finally I told him, "Doc, my heart's going to kill me way before my colon gets a chance to." He laughed. This spring toward the end of the annual interview he glanced at his chart and said, "Still a no on the colonoscopy, right?"

Finally home. Got off 1930, ran to funeral home for a classmate that died, 43 too, and didn’t know anyone including his sister, seen her there but haven’t seen her since we graduated.
I came, signed book. Said my “good bye” mentally and stood about 30 seconds. Left. I dunno anyone anymore.
He worked at a farm research place before it closed, always asked about dad, knowing him from loading there too.

    So now, home, til 0400.

    guy of few words?
They’ll be wondering who the loner was I’m sure.

They give you really good drugs for that now.
Seriously, really good stuff. Never even know what they did. They tell you not to do anything for at least 24 hours, preferably 36 to 48.

Scotty, you are prepped, iv'd lying on the table, being cool. You glance left an see this assortment of heater hose; with nozzles, in various lengths hanging. Wide diff in lengths tho.
You glance right and see the little monitor with all the data they will use. Nice, wonder who that name pertains to?
That is you says the nurse... Ah uh honey; My name is Roger Johnson and I do not weigh that much.
Oh hell, that is the last guy....... Keyboard tap and we are back in reasonable hose lengths country....
Look at the preparations before you gulp the gas...

Agreed/. Like anything else, just belt up and get it done.
Like Price Morgan used to tell customers on buying a PM contract on a new forklift.
They said:We can do that. When anything gets bad we will call you.
And Price said: Well. they don't get well by themselves. You need attention on them.
