That too depends on where you live. Otherwiise what ever. Ours isnt state created directly. The state has agencies. For us it is the WHCA or Washington-Hancock County Administration. They create affordable housing with the money from the State of Maine. If you get a job there, the check is from the State of Maine.

I just got a question texted to me.

“Anyone available for today or tomorrow?
    We got loads.”

I’m not crazy, I’m at home, safe, so why would anyone want to do anything right now?
There are 2 differences I see,
1.) If you’re already out there, then that’s where you’ll be.
    2.)You’re Hungry and need food.

that’s why I came home Friday morning, I got my stuff and am home eating Doritos and drinking tea, sweet not that Hot junk, and watching the snow fall, which is knee deep out front right now.

So the receiver is officially closed. Duh.

I asked The OM if we should stay here at the hobo camp, or go up to Pilot where there's like two dozen restaurants and cold beer.

She's like," How far is it?"

I'm like, "27 miles each way."

    She's like, "That's a lot of fuel."

The OM would also like to point out that SOMEONE, not mentioning any name's, obliterated The Flying J song.

    And now.......it's snowing in Mississippi.

I agree with your take on the situation, except: 2. varies, dead men don't eat.

Bridge over the Mississippi on i10 through Baton Rouge LA is totally iced over. Cops have I 10 mostly blocked off anywhere near the bridge. I accidentally got on it taking an exit in downtown Baton Rouge and it's just a huge sheet of ice . I went about 20 mph and slower and that was still scary . Was a car right behind me the whole time

I went to my shipper to pick up a load right on the east side of the river but they were closed (and had to back out into the road because no turn around and no one at the gate).

All the truck stops around here are slammed at 1PM on a Monday due to the i10 closures . I found one space at a mom and pops truck stop . Closest major one anywhere near here is a tiny Loves that has trucks parked anywhere and everywhere within a mile radius of it.

Spent yesterday taking a 34 and watching it snow in Sweetwater By God Texas yesterday. It was 1degree with a brisk breeze this morning. Now I'm stuck waiting for a stealership to reopen tomorrow so I can get the wagon out. They closed due to rolling blackouts at 10 am.

Stranger things have happened...We went from last "dry" state in nation to legal spirits, eased in to "dockside only gambling" and now have a "full access lottery". Present gov advocates nixing the income tax. Forerunner to legalizing the leafy green product. Whiskey; needed for education, Gambling; needed for education, Lottery; needed for education......
The leaf referendum; when it comes, will really prove how our "education" has advanced.
(Bootlegging days.. You had to be tall enough to see the man over the counter to tell him what Daddy sent you to get. Or could drive yourself out to the dispensary.)
