That may be so, but your engine brake could fail on the way down.

That’s all you needed to learn!

I won’t argue the logic of the matter, it’s a simple fact it’s part of the job.

Good luck . Most likely get it plead down to a lesser violation. I’ve had luck in the past writing the court directly.

    really good point

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

The absolute sheer driving force of our national economy - without truck drivers, our entire national economy would come to an absolute standstill - if not outright be dead.

Over the mountains, through the woods, into the valleys, coast to coast, from sea to shining sea - truck drivers can and do go anywhere and everywhere, every day, all year round.

It’s ordinance violation. Let them send you the ticket.

I was in West Virginia in the last month and they have a brake check. I chuckled to myself because all trucks that stopped while I was there were the 70mph plus trucks without all the nanny systems.

The Crete’s and Western Expresses just bypassed the brake check.

Lemme guess...eastbound i24 Monteagle, had a couple HP in the brake check area when you rolled by. They do that now that the eastbound Manchester coup is locked up.

There is a trooper that parks there often. I have seen several trucks pulled over for not stopping. It gets old doing it if you are a regular and go by there every night, but they certainly give you plenty of warning.

This is why you should learn to do mountains and hills without a jake/compression brake, if the fuse that powers it blows, then you won’t have that to fall back on, probably on Mount Eagle, I’ve seen a ton blow by the check station.

Hire a lawyer from Tennessee to represent you in court. Find out what the rules are for Florida and your company by asking them
