Right now is a good time for trucking companies to get rid of dead weight and problem drivers that have been kept due to a good economy. The good economy is going down the tubes, so now companies can trim the fat.
I've seen it happen twice. Saw a grown man with gray hair standing in the employee parking lot sobbing like a baby. He was one of those always badmouthing the company in the breakroom or on the CB radio. Complaining and saying how he'll quit on his own terms.

 

Is he going to Stevens Transport now?

 

I don't know what happened to him. Got tired of him and some others there whining all the time.

 

I'm sitting about every 2-3 days now but oil is so far down they might have to start paying people to take it

Yes. It's not in the bag yet. I won't believe I'm hired til i throw my gear into the truck and make my first trip.
