I understand that. That is why we are subject to much more regulation, and enforcement, than amateur drivers.

But none of that changes the fact that your analogy of comparing federally-regulated private pilots to state-regulated 4-wheeler drivers was an apples to oranges comparison.

To me, the definition of a professional is one who will do the right thing at all times.

Has nothing to do with being paid to do a given task or profession.

A professional driver will obey all traffic control laws whether they are paid to run those roads or not.

Think about all the signs we've seen along the highway--

    Speed Limit Strictly Enforced
    Double Fine Zone
    Special Enforcement Zone
    Obey All Traffic Laws
    No Tolerance for Speeders

It is a sad commentary those signs had to be commissioned in the first place.

It is the very reason companies are trending toward self driving vehicles. CSA put the drivers' bad behavior right in the company's lap. I mean before, you got too many tickets, well we have to let you go. Now the company shares your ticket. Their score gets too high they get pushed down on the load list behind "safer" carriers and that costs them money. You start hitting a company's bottom line, they don't mess around with a speed law breaker, you're gone.

I can appreciate a driver's hustle and desire to 'get 'er done' but enough is enough. Stop with the excessive speed already; you are hastening in the self driving truck revolution by your very speeding. Don't you see you are driving yourself right out of a great job by speeding?

Most of this is only about money. What's not about money is about control. But I think you may just be trolling and just messing around by even asking this.
