Yeah. The party is over.
I would like to acknowledge some of my douchecanoe coworkers that lambasted "how we've been going bankrupt for 30 years and will do so for 30 more". I know one of you muppets is reading this. This includes my shop steward. A real mouth hero is what you are. Giving people a false sense of hope. This whole predicament could not have been more predictable.
Yeah yeah... Union this or company that. What difference does it make? 32,000 of us are unemployed. Does it matter who was more right or wrong?
Not in my mind.Professor No-Name, Albertaflatbed, Gearjammin' Penguin and 13 others Thank this. -
Yellow - It’s with profound disappointment that we are...
Yellow claims they have partnered with the ATA to create a job database specifically for Yellow Employees to find jobs.

Yellow Freight's debt probably doubled when the free money was printed in 2021, and pension investments halved. From what I have read the unions are picking these fights now,

I see what you are saying. You are right. The HR guy did his job shockingly well. So much so that I have never seen it replicated in the same fashion by anyone else that has hired me. I falsified my motivation but not my credentials.
Let me ask you something. You seem like a nice enough person.
I am sure that you have a good relationship with someone. Maybe if not now but maybe in the past. I am positive that on your first date you embellished something about yourself. I say this with confidence because all of us on here have. This is just as true with gaining employment.
There is one more issue I want to address. And that is to the muppet person that responded by accusing me to reporting to work drunk. This is also someone that has a "TTR Staff Member" listed as their credentials in their profile name.
This was not a scheduled shift were I roled in slobbering and hanging over my steering wheel. I was called in, I was told that they have been sitting on the paperwork for 4 days and they were running delinquent unless I take the test. I have NEVER failed a test and didn't think much of it. I was also being paid hourly for the inconvenience of coming in.
I blew positive for residual alcohol.
Your comment is callous and shortsighted.Gearjammin' Penguin, dwells40, Jubal Early Times and 1 other person Thank this. -
Excellent
In its last offer, Yellow wanted all workers to have a commercial drivers license. Some workers who weren't drivers couldn't have qualified for medical or other reasons, Stephenson said, and would have been fired.

I'm not sure how you came up with that, but when I stated "the men upstairs" I was attempting to convey my thoughts that it will be the driver getting the shaft if anyone...

Thanks for posting this. It's a factually accurate obituary of what used to be my old job.RussianBearTruckeR and bzinger Thank this.
