The U.S. Attorney’s office for the Northern District of Florida has arraigned a woman who allegedly cheated small carriers and owner operators out of more than a quarter of a million dollars by running a phony tax service for truckers.
Elisa Jackson of Tallahassee, Florida ran a company called Bee’s Carrier Permitting and Licensing, a fake permitting and licensing company that advertised that it would help truckers file their annual registration for the federal Heavy Highway Vehicle Use Tax. Truckers would send Jackson the money for their registration, but instead of sending that money in to the IRS and receiving a stamped receipt in return, Jackson allegedly pocketed the money and forged a receipt to send back to the truckers.
According to the indictment, Jackson was able to make approximately $248,000.
Jackson has been charged with five counts of wire fraud and one count of possessing a counterfeit IRS stamp. If found guilty on all charges, she could face a prison sentence of up to 25 years, a period of supervised release of up to 6 years, and fines totally up to $260,000.

I say throw book at her!!!! Its hard enough out her to make money caz of cheap freight. Then she want to beat people out of money that’s trying to make a honest living. That fine will never get paid in her life time. And I bet the government made the companies that paid her pay all over again making the blow even harder. I think the authorities should turn her over to the people she beat out of money and they can take turns flogging her for every dollar she stole.

Money doesn’t breed anything. It’s an inanimate object.
I’m glad they got her! People work too hard to have enough money to take care of their families for others to just come around and steal it.

The state patrol and local police departments + the D.O.T. stations steal enough from us already. She should be flogged.

I don’t understand how she thought she would get away with it. I also don’t understand how in the last story about the gas station worker who stole 600 k he only got 6 months. This lady steals 248 k and she could get 25 years.

It is unbelievable what people come up with to scheme money from people. They put a bad name to good people trying to make a living and help others out honestly.
