A former dispatcher has pled guilty to charges brought against him after an FBI investigation revealed he had been creating fraudulent invoices and personally pocketing the profits.
Randy LeBlanc, a 33-year old former driver and dispatcher for Acme Trucking Lines, pled guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud on Monday.
When LeBlanc joined Acme in 2009, it was as a truck driver. He had not yet become a dispatcher in 2011 when an unnamed coworker approached him and told him how to create waybills for shipments that never existed. LeBlanc would charge the companies and split the money with the co-conspirator and a coworker named Jahorae Johnson.
In 2013, LeBlanc became a dispatcher and was able to keep the scam going until May of 2014 when he was fired.
According to U.S. Attorney Stephanie Finley, LeBlanc personally profited more than $220,000 from the scheme. Johnson, who made more than $96,000 also pled guilty to one count of conspiracy.
The identity of the third conspirator has not yet been released.

The owner of ACME didn’t put much thought or creativity into choosing a name for his trucking company.
