  • Must meet all Federal Motor Carrier Guidelines
  • Current DOT Medical Certificate qualified for a minimum of 1 year. We will not accept a 3 or 6 month card
  • No positive or refusal to test on any drug or alcohol test administered by an employer to which work is covered by DOT drug and alcohol regulations.
  • Valid Commercial Driver License in STATE OF RESIDENCE
  • No current license suspension or revocation. A work permit is not acceptable.
  • Has held a USA driver’s license for a minimum of two years. (not necessarily a CDL) This must be within the last five years.
  • No serious or disqualifying traffic violations within the last three years as follows:
  • Excessive speeding 15 mph or more over posted speed limit (review rest of application)
  • Reckless, as defined by state or local law or regulation (review rest of application and need police report
  • Following too closely (review rest of application – review circumstances)
  • Driving while intoxicated or under the influence of controlled substance, or test refusal in the past three (3) years. If more than 1 in the past unlikely we would hire (will review)
  • Hit and run, leaving the scene of an accident or failure to report an accident
  • Using a commercial motor vehicle in commission of a felony
  • Operating a CMV while disqualified suspended or revoked (review circumstances)
  • No more than four (4) moving violations in the past 36 months, and no more than two (2) moving violations in the previous 12 months.
  • No preventable accidents involving a fatality, bodily injuries treated away from the scene, or disabling damage to a motor vehicle within three (3) years. (review)
  • Causing fatality due to negligent operation of a CMV.
