In a somewhat unusual move, the FMCSA has declared a driver an imminent hazard to public safety and placed him Out of Service due to lying about his medical record and accident history.
Former truck driver Matthew Boozer had received an unknown medical diagnosis in 2011 which disqualified him from being a commercial driver. Despite this, he falsified his medical records, applied for, and received a job driving a commercial truck.
Then, in July of this year, Boozer was involved in an accident which was brought on by the medical issue. His truck crossed over two lanes of traffic, crashed through a fence, and collided with a parked vehicle. As a result of the accident he received a medical examination which again found him to be unqualified and Boozer was terminated.
Just one day after the accident which lost him his last job, Boozed applied for another driving job, falsifying both his medical records and accident report. Based on the seemingly clean application, he was hired and drove for the company until September when his employer learned about the crash and medical condition and fired him.
Upon learning about the continued fraud, the FMCSA issued Boozer with an OOS notice. Failing to comply (again) with the notice could result in criminal charges and/or penalties of up to $5,000.

You would think from all the background checks that a company would know if someone was lying up front. Seems to be a little too easy to get a commercial truck job and companies are wondering why their csa scores have been declining dramatically.
Yeah that dot is pretty scary. (To small dogs and children)
Pathetic.
Meanwhile, truckers are being put out of service on roadways everywhere for trivial infractions yet this type of crap continues.
Lets touch on the numerous CDL drivers allowed on our roadways that cannot speak or read the English signs…..yet this is accepted as “SAFE” and selectively NOT ENFORCED.
Very true, and until we the people get this country back on track and take control, it’ll get worse.
Seriously, with a name like “Boozer”?
Magoo, you’ve done it again.
Boozer, Boozer, Boozer…
What new medical laws have passed if any for the new year to apply for cdl licenses and for the “big trucking companies hiring process for there schools”
