Phillips Connect is set to release several innovative trailer products in North America this year, produced in their Arteaga, Mexico facility.
Phillips Connect CargoVision
At the end of Q2, Phillips Connect will begin producing solar-powered CargoVision cameras in a new facility and launch a puck version in Q3. The interior cargo camera captures load status in real time, with two arrangements: solar-powered and wired puck (mounted using a harness). Phillips Connect CEO Rob Phillips said they’d sold 50,000 last year, great for security and leasing companies with trailer problems.
Phillips Connect SolarNet
In Q3, Phillips Connect will produce and ship their SolarNet asset tracking gateway. SolarNet can be plugged in or solar-powered and has a secondary version with ultrasonic carbon detection. SolarNet can detect if it is loaded/empty when installed on a trailer’s nose.
Phillips Connect StealthNet
StealthNet will be produced alongside SolarNet in the third quarter. It is a trailer asset tracker that is mounted underneath the trailer.
“This is a great product because it’s scalable,” Phillips said. “You can add all kinds of sensors to it, whether it’s tire pressure or a door open and close sensor, and it can connect to CargoVision cameras.”
