A trucker from Kansas City, Missouri has been sentenced to over 21 years in prison for his role in a cargo theft ring that operated for almost 15 years during which he stole more than $1 million worth of trucks, trailers, and cargo.
Ray Borders spent 14 years stealing trucks and selling the cargo to whoever would buy it. He sold to convenience store owners, tow truck drivers, or sometimes to others who would resell the goods again and split the profits.
Once the cargo was sold, he would either strip down the truck and trailer for parts to sell, or sell them whole. Jon Dickerson and his son, Kyle Dickerson, would often purchase the trucks and trailers and were even sometimes involved in the thefts. They would use the trucks in their own trucking business, and would give Borders a “shopping list” of trucks that they were interested in buying.
There were 10 people involved in the ring, all of whom pled guilty to various charges with the exception of Borders and the Dickersons who were found guilty at trial.
Borders received a prison sentence of 21 years and 10 months without the possibility of parole and was ordered to pay almost $1.3 million to his victims in restitution. The Dickersons have not yet been sentenced.

I’m dumbfounded…………….
Great. Yet another instance of me getting the bill to warehouse an idiot. Forget it. Put this moron to work at forced labor (Consttution allows this) and make him work till dead or full restitution plus 50% is paid to victims. Getting tired of the bill coming to the taxpayers.
unreal same wovles different sheep
At least they finally caught him. 15 years ? This fool was running wild.
Good for catching him.
