Acting less like a knight of the road, and more like the silent gunslinger with no name who saves the day and rides off into the sunset, one unknown trucker is being called a hero after saving two women from drowning after a car wreck, and then disappearing again without a trace.
The unknown trucker was on I-10 Eastbound near Scott, LA when two women in an SUV ran off a bridge and the car flipped, landing upside down in the water below.
According to firefighters who arrived at the scene, the trucker told them that the two women were both floating face down in the water when he reached them, but he jumped in and was able to pull both of them to the riverbank.
When first responders arrived, the trucker had the two women semi-conscious on the riverbank and stayed only long enough to tell them what had happened and make sure that the women were okay. According to the chief of police for the town as soon as he saw that they were safe, he got back in his truck and left “as if nothing had happened.”
Both women were taken to a nearby hospital where they were treated for moderate injuries. They are expected to make a full recovery.
“In today’s world, many are hesitant to assist total strangers,” said the police chief. “Emergency medical officials firmly believe this act of kindness may have saved two lives.”

He probably was out of hours and feared getting a fine and red tagged.
That was my first thought, that he was running out of hours, and had to go, otherwise he might miss his appointment and have to wait another day to get unloaded, or something along those lines. If you have electronic logs, you can’t mess around time-wise.
Did any of you stop to consider there are still people out there that really do care. Those women are lucky you weren’t the ones there or they might not be alive.
Exactly, I’m sure they made those comments because they wouldn’t have lifted a finger.
Yeah, and just wait til they get EOBR’s in all truck.
They think the so called driver shortage is bad now just think of all the drivers they will need to hire because of EOBR’s not to mention the equipment shortages they will have to contend with.
I would have done the same thing. No need to linger around hoping for a reward. Just do what you feel is right, and then be on your way. Last thing this trucker would have wanted was for the town to have a parade for him.
How did he log this?
Why do Inot buy as advertised?
A true hero and humanitarian ….It should have made the news…
Because this does not fit with mainstream media’s role for trucking.
It made the news here. I’m one of the women he rescued. I ended up having a spinal cord injury. If it weren’t for him, I wouldn’t be alive.
What ever his reason for leaving he surely was a blessing to those two ladies. A guardian angel.
Awesome job Driver who ever you are. It’s really nice to hear about someone that does kind deeds and wants no recognition, A TRUE HERO IN MY BOOK.
A true hero, we need more people like him in this world!!!
He could have saved the president… His dispatch wont care. “You were late. Your fired!” LoL
For whatever the reason why the driver didn’t stick around, who cares. Truth of the matter is this driver stepped up and saved two women’s lives. Great Job Trucker!!
I’m one of the women that he rescued. If it weren’t for him, I’d be dead. I would give anything to meet him.
some people don’t need a pat on the back, the reward is in the good deed 10-4
What would he need to wait for? He gets detained everyday, so he knows very well that when it’s time to go – it’s time to go.
Can’t some of you people just believe that some people don’t need to be recognized for doing something good
As John Wayne would say, “No need to thank me ladies, it was just a little routine hero work”.
Hello everyone…. I am proud to say that was my husband. #1 even if he was out of hours he would’ve still helped those ladies. He is a hero, a wonderful husband, and a great truck driver.
Nice; Those Just time deliveries…important. (we all got to eat)
Isn’t this the same stretch of road where that other trucker was killed by a 4wheeler?
OMG! Ghosts!
OO
