The Women In Trucking Association (WIT) has announced its 2025 “Top Companies for Women to Work in Transportation” through its official publication, Redefining the Road magazine. The annual list recognizes carriers, logistics firms, and manufacturers that are actively promoting inclusion, career growth, and leadership opportunities for women across the transportation industry.
Recognizing Industry Leaders in Inclusion
The program, launched in 2018, highlights organizations that foster gender diversity and prioritize women’s professional advancement in trucking.
- Jennifer Hedrick, WIT President and CEO, said the initiative aligns with WIT’s mission to celebrate companies that “prioritize gender diversity and professional development.”
- Brian Everett, publisher of Redefining the Road, noted that top companies share common values such as:
- Creating supportive, inclusive workplace cultures.
- Offering competitive pay and benefits.
- Providing career flexibility and advancement opportunities.
Honorees will be formally recognized at the WIT Accelerate! Conference & Expo, scheduled for Nov. 9–12 in Dallas, Texas, with International Motors (formerly Navistar) as the event’s sponsor.
How Companies Earn a Spot
Selection for the list involves a multi-step qualification process, beginning with open nominations and followed by an industry-wide vote.
- The process evaluates each company’s commitment to recruiting, retaining, and developing women in the workforce.
- In 2025, the program drew over 21,000 votes, reflecting a growing emphasis on diversity and inclusion within trucking and logistics.
Everett explained that “earning a place on this list reflects a company’s ongoing commitment to integrating inclusion into its core business strategy.”
The 2025 “Elite 30”
This year’s Elite 30 companies—those receiving the highest number of votes—include:

- Daimler Truck North America
- FedEx
- Kenworth Truck Company
- Old Dominion Freight Line
- Penske Transportation Solutions
- Ryder System Inc.

…and many others leading the charge toward greater gender inclusion in trucking and logistics.
These organizations represent a diverse range of industry sectors — from motor carriers and logistics firms to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) — all recognized for championing women in traditionally male-dominated fields.

The full 2025 list also features over 100 additional honorees, including Clean Harbors, Cummins Inc., Truckstop, Werner Enterprises, Volvo Group North America, and McLeod Software, among others.
Each company demonstrates tangible progress in:
