Successful Job Placement Rate & Related Info
NIT states: “We do not have “job placement assistance” officially, but because of our reputation here in Alaska, many companies from Trucking, to Oil and Gas contact us almost daily looking to hire our graduates. We hold employer board meetings where the employers come to our school and meet and greet our students. This happens for most of our longer courses.”
Additional Information Provided By The School:
NIT states: “This (3 week) program includes up to 120 hours of vehicles training (to include air brake testing, pre-trip inspection and coupling/uncoupling). Safe driving practices, preventative maintenance, driver qualification and cargo securement training are also addressed. Upon successful completion, students earn a CDL A or CDL B.” “NIT has a Veterans Outreach Program and has programs designed specifically for Transitioning Service Members. NIT also conducts a 3 week PTD course on JBER for soldiers who are still on active duty and are planning on getting out of the military within the next year or two.”
