Are you making the avg. of $2.00 a mile (or close to it) before the cost of fuel or after?
In other words, what is the companies net avg. a mile pay?
Hope this isn't to personal, I'm just trying to see if this theory is true or not?
Thanks for your responses

I lease to a small company for 85% plus trailer rental. My average for the last 6 months is 1.42 to the truck. This is from my driveway to driveway not short, practical or dispatched but all miles. Dry van

I pull reefers and I'm averaging around $1.66 per mile.
That includes around 10% dead head miles.
If things fall into place I can average close to $ 2.75 per mile. However that might be 1 out of every 10 + loads.LittleDave Thanks this. -
