In Kenworth terms, generally speaking, a "W" denotes a set forward axle and a "T" denotes a setback axle.
Never was a fan of set forward axles. Setback always looked better to me.

Ok so what the difference between a 900 and a 800....?
800 hood is sloped and a 900 is flat...? -
No, a 900 is a set forward axle. A set back axle with a high hood is a T800H.
This is a W900SKVB Thanks this. -

EDIT:
@bean Jr beat me to it......
Original post:
The way I understood:
W900: set forward axle, "short" straight hood W900B, long hood W900L, or sloped hood W900S
Everybody knows W900B and W900L, below is W900S
W900S, sloped hood set forward axle
T800: set back axle, sloped hood (long or short), straight (high) hood T800H, or wide hood T800W
T800 (left) and T800H (right, note the set back axle)
T800W, wider hood, single headlightspushbroom, Bean Jr., spsauerland and 2 others Thank this. -
I personally prefer a set forward steer on a square hood, and set back on a sloped hood.

One you guys forgot was the T800SH, I think they did discontinue it. Short hood.
Here is whole list of hood options for T800 from 2016. The T800B could have full piece fender or split depending on under hood or cowl mounted air cleaners. -
The T800B hood had full fenders with no air cleaners as far back as at least 2002. Looks goofy cause they have this random piece of steel hanging out from the frame to strap the hood down lol.
pushbroom Thanks this. -
Think it goes all the way back to 87 when they came out with the T800. Sales is still very strong, but they do build some in Mexico since Chillicothe went to all T680/T880 .
