Don't forget, you are not only fighting to get a job with those tickets on your record, you are fighting for a bottom of the barrel driving position with bottom of the barrel companies.

So how bad do you want to drive?

There's a lot of things I want to do badly as well...namely, get a good job in the career I got my degree in and have 15+ years experience in. :biggrin_25516: But I have to be realistic and get what I can. You should do the same.

It's not about punishing you, it's about supply and demand. More supply than demand, and companies can afford to be picky...and lower their pay.

Well scottd25 let me tell you my story it might help.I am 54 and have a not so good past.I had three dui,s,1 in 1988,1 in 1989,and 1 in 1999.I went to school and dished out 6000 dollars to find out my recrueter flat out lied. There was no way they could find me a job driving anything.plus i had a few other things on my record they might have frowned on.Anyway i hired a good lawyer and had my record expunged. My county record is now spotless. My state record has 1dui ten years ago,and one speeding ticket doing 17 over the limit, this is considerd RECKLESS DRIVING.iT WAS TWO YEARS AGO.paid my lawyer some more money, he had it dismissed.I am now going to do a refresher course.Another 2100 dollars,BUT they say they can get me a pr-hire.We will see. Before you can get a job anywhere you need to have those tickets dismissed.I too want to make a decent check to take care of my family,But it has come at a very high price.9000 Dollars. So my friend,i wish you luck, dont give up,i didnt.

Here is my advice. Join the military as a truck driver.

A: no age thing, they will let you drive at 18

B: They won't care about your record, They will teach you what they want and you will ride with a Sgt.

C: you get some experience so when you are older you can go to a company with experience

D: companies love former military, less problem and more dedication.
