Basically, we don't allow any discussions detailing how to do any emission mods, illegal tuning recommendations, recommending deletes, etc. In other words, if it's something that a dealer won't do because they're worried about getting in trouble, it's probably not okay to discuss it here.

As you might guess, though, there are still some gray areas with threads/posts on this issue, and in some cases, we even have discuss it among the staff as to whether or not to allow something.

If in doubt as to whether or not something is okay for discussion, probably a good idea to run it by a staff member first.

 

We had already looked at your thread. At this time, not any problems with that discussion in any way.

 

This is a big community and discussions concerning those illegal activities are only a very small part of the members' interests. It's not worth taking a chance on legal problems for the site just so a few members can discuss those details. There are still places online to find those discussions, and we're okay with members finding them elsewhere.
