Might want to explain how it works for your and other Eastern drivers.
Eastern driver all do a form off slipseating.
Real Western drivers don't slipseat but are home at the weekend.

You can find eastern companies which work mon-fri, and give weekends off. Then truck is assigned to driver. And you can find western companies which work the same way I do (but then, they often employ eastern drivers)

Problem is, most of the drivers, don't like it that way. Most wanted system is like 2 weeks on the road/ 2 weeks home, or like every single day home.

Weekend home often equals truck racing on friday. Or you need to go to city hall, to take care of any case? Good luck, when you are home only during weekends. It's not that great if you think about it.

I even know people who work like 1 week in truck / 1 week home. Two drivers which change on one truck.

here drivers usually earn something like 700-800€ of salary and get additions on salary, most long distance drivers work for something like in range of poland. we are talking about net money, not gross.
this way they get around tax system.
being truck driver at east makes sense, this is hard work but you can earn lot more than regular people. on west no-one wants to drive truck anymore, you can earn almost same working some stupid work at some factory with 8hour work time. here we started to get problems with drivers, earlier we imported them from serbia and bosnia, but in meantime our people dont want to drive anymore so we get now drivers even from philipines and nepal. many says nepal workers are good ones, not lazy, but i am not sure if they are capable of driving.

you have to consider that this money our salaries are is OK for life here, many things are cheaper than on west so overall life quality is not much lower. main differences are cars, electronics and similar. car cost same in belgium and here, i pay tommy hilfiger pants 100-150€, daf105 will pay them same. traveling to west is not affordable for me and some other. but regular life, pay for house, for different services etc. make life quality almost same. no one in my family have any loan/credit, we have 3 floor house+ basement with garages

i have family in greenwich CT., my aunt and her husband came there.... you can read about it here:
Why do so many Americans hate European trucks?

when you compare life of their sons, they dont live better than me, their salaries are in range of at least 300-350 and 700-800k usd per year. they work a lot ( would say at least 2x more than i do), but everything is way more expensive.

Greenwich ct is one of the most expensive places in the country to live. A 300k to 350k income down here in sarasota area would be living like the Hilton's. That's buying a huge house on the intercoastal waterway with a private dock and boat lift in south Sarasota, venice, Englewood and a Corvette in the garage. Heck that's enough to also pay for a #### nice bonanza, money, or 206 cessna in a hanger to spend your weekends island hopping around the Caribbean.

For reference willow lists the average home value in greenwich as 1,289,734 dollars. 1.3 million dollars for an average home. Freaking ridiculous.
Compare to venice Florida @ 256,725. More than a million dollars less, never snows and you can walk to the beach. F greenwich.

I know I sure don’t need anything close to that. Just give me a nice one level modular place off by itself somewhere. :)

yes they are like average people in greenwich, not even in upper middle class, there are homes there over 50million usd. older cousin have some 150 engineers in team he leads, he earn something like 300-350k per year. his wife work at same place for similar money. younger cousin is working in loan company earn like 700-800k per year, his wife got law degree here, so it is not worth #### in usa and she is housewife and take care of whole family on best way.

my aunt and her husband own house and apartment in punta gorda fl. for winter months, it is kind of cool place with labirint made of waterways
