Just asking who gets exercise here? I want to get in a steady habbit...(I think one of my biggest problems is worrying about what others may think). Because if I do exercise unless I'm at a Petro with a gym or in the truck it would be outside walking or running around a rest stop or truck stop. What does everyone else here do for exercise?
Exercise, how, when, where.

Folding bicycle
A folding bicycle is a bicycle designed to fold into a compact form, facilitating transport and storage. When folded, the bikes can be more easily carried into buildings, on public transportation, and more easily stored in compact living quarters or aboard a car, boat or plane.CruzControhl, Wasted Thyme and WesternPlains Thank this. -
Jump rope, jumping jacks, toe touches, squats, lunges, mountain climbers, walking , step-ups, resistance straps, tricep dips and push- ups can all be done next to your truck. Screw what other people think.

A pair of adjustable dumb bells. Very convenient in the truck.
CruzControhl Thanks this. -
Dont worry about what anyone thinks. I try and walk as much as I can. You just have to be very observant in truck stop parking lots so you dont get ran over. This thread lists some good walking trails Truck stops with hiking trails! For dogs and their truckers.CruzControhl Thanks this.

I have one coming. Can store it in the second bunk. One reason is that I have an old lower back injury. Complications... Result is bad pain in legs when walking any distance. I did have it more rehabilitated. But sitting in the truck so much isn't helping without exercise. Also so can go somewhere. Pedal when I can. Otherwise go electric.
Got mine from Lectric Bikes. Seems to be a very good price for what you get.
Also on this. I imagine not having a problem taking it in a restaurant folded up. Can slip it under the table. Or at store? Put it in your cart. They don't sell these so. I hate to try to fool with locking a bike up. They're always trying to steal it or something off it. Keep it with me.
Also on exercising outside the truck. Many times you don't want to.CruzControhl, Wasted Thyme and Chinatown Thank this. -
Squats, lunges, burpees, push ups, i am flatbed so i use my rub rail to do aussie pull ups as well, and like others said, screw what others think, we exercise to be healthy and live longer... they wanna die prematurely that's on them

Any exercise is better than none. I have seen drivers doing many different kinds of exercises next to their truck, so don't be worrying about what others may think (about this, or anything else, for that matter).
30 minutes of brisk walking 2 to 3 times a week helps improve your cardio-vascular system.
You already have some good suggestions on this thread.CruzControhl and Wasted Thyme Thank this. -
100% agree and will add something else that gets left out a lot. The lungs and the respiratory system. I am almost totally confined to a wheelchair today. I don't get out like I once did and it's showing up in rather insidious ways now. I had Arthroscopic surgery on the 12th of last month. I had general anesthesia and when I awoke in recovery the recovery nurse was complaining about my blood oxygen levels being in the 80s. This means my lungs are not functioning at their best. I am also having to take some supplements to keep things like vitamin D and B-12 up. Most drivers are sitting all day long, honestly the most active some drivers get is climbing in and out of their truck. When you are 20 something your body can tolerate this. However, when you start to approach middle age it begins to show it. Once this breakdown starts it is very hard to stop and most importantly can get your medical yanked! Remember because of the way medicals are tied to CDLs, once that medical is gone the CDL might be as well. Get as much exercise as you can. Walk as much as you can. Lift weights. Most importantly eat right.CruzControhl and kemosabi49 Thank this.

Like Ive posted before. Flatbed gives you an entire crossfit gym on the deck of your trailer. 4ft & and 8ft tarps, chains/binders, spare tire, do pushups and pull ups on the trailer.
Dont be a dunce and think you can only park and mega truck stops and arent allowed to leave. You can join a planet fitness and if you're creative parking around those is usually pretty easy.CruzControhl, FoolsErrand, Odin's Rabid Dog and 1 other person Thank this.
