    Amazingly, I received my US Passport card in the mail about an hour ago - and I submitted that application a full 12 days AFTER my NYC birth certificate application.

    Another amazing thing today...the US State Dept mailed me back my birth certificate which had been included in my passport packet...all done in under a month.

    Now if I could get the NYC Health Dept moving as fast, I'd have a new, embossed BC rather than the one I used to join the military back in 1977.
