Oh yeah, this is the second time I ran it like this. It'll actually be the first time I go Platteville to Columbia, so that's a quick 1500 miles going into Monday. I've turned a lot if miles in recent weeks, I certainly wont complain about that! I am in Colby, KS now taking a little break. I'll get to Platteville super early

45 deg s/s. Probably should be on continuous cuz the bills say hi 45 low 45. I've never hauled potatoes in anything but a reefer an this is my 1st time ever hauling em in bulk. I've heard that cleaning trailer afterwards can be a bit of a nightmare

Since you're going to NC 45 cycle is good. It's probably warm down there. Maybe at night I'd bump it to 50 cycle depending on how cold it gets tonight. Monte Vista loads always seem to run the temps somewhere in that vicinity. I've hauled them loose like that in a dry van but it has to be like a fall day, where it's cool. There was one time I picked up some potatoes and it was cold and icy, it was a dry load. Both times was with a previous company though. You'll definitely have to get a washout after you empty. Nightmare to clean it out is an understatement. I bet it was a pain getting that weight right on the axles.

I delivered, drove the 2 hours to Midwest DC, got my trailer washout, picked up at Midwest DC, did a post trip while being parked at that abandoned warehouse next to midwest dc. Only had 8 minutes left on my 14.

Yea i thought it would be difficult to get legal. But i told em to load 43500 to 44000. Since they loaded off a conveyor belt i didn't slide the tandems to the back. I had them in the 7th or 8th hole. Went back to scale an axle weights were perfect 11960 / 33060 / 33060.

Them guys that load potatoes like that are good. They would draw a small line on trailer wall and walk the conveyer back as the potatoes got to the line.

Man I'm impressed. You got it dead on and it wasn't over weight. Years ago I got sweet potatoes in Oklahoma, loose the same way. The scale they had was off by a long shot. 46k of potatoes in the box. It went to Arkansas. It took a few hours for them to off load, maybe this spot in NC is different. They are loading me way ahead of time in Platteville. They are going to get this load with flying colors in Columbia and I wont even have to run that hard.
