    That's cool and all, it's not like my idea. My idea would see the engine and transmission either directly coupled to the rear differential or connected thereto by an incredibly short driveshaft, then having a firewall with a metric ####ton of insulation between the passenger compartment and the engine, and in front of that would be the fuel tank, cooling system, and steering, with another bulkhead between it and the passenger compartment. I'm thinking depending on how long I want it to be I may build it so that the passenger compartment has two seats up front and a bench seat in the rear, depending on how complicated I want it to be it'll either be two door or four door, albeit in the style of the Chevy extended cab truck. Not sure what I'm going to do as far as body panels or lighting though

    Because it makes almost the same power as my 3406A and probably burns half the fuel.

    There are a number of old COE car haulers with engines/trans mid or behind the cab.

    I understand everyone has their own ideas and taste, why a 13 liter engine and all the massive effort in a passenger vehicle that seemingly has no or little need for that heft?

    I have a C13 and it is a fine engine BUT, it is not a piece of art or particularly worthy of being out in public! You want a snazzy motor get an MTU V12 from a boat yard, 2000HP

    Well I suppose I can’t argue the fuel economy. But if it’s an A in the truck now, it would be a lot of work and money to put an 11.1 Detroit in it’s place. I think a B or an 855 Cummins would be an easier swap and could still achieve some good fuel numbers and a lot more power.

    A series 50 would be nice to have for a toy hauler or something and they will put out about the same power as an 11.1. Those are rare though, I think I’ve only seen two or three in the wild. I know a guy with a single axle fld with one. I could buy that truck for probably six or seven grand.
