Glad you found it! Pretty much count on that being the issue. Rule number 1 of troubleshooting: fix what you know is wrong first. Slow crank would have been the first thing I went after before anything else.

THOUGHS???
..........well you had @AModelCat and @clausland ,two of the most knowledgeable mechanics on this forum give you your answer in the first 7 posts, on the first day of your problem. Eight days later you came to the same conclusion........ that's got to be frustrating.Isafarmboy and clausland Thank this. -
Only one of each going to starter.

Hey man, the whole thing is frustrating. I’ve soaked in everything told to me on this forum and highly appreciative. We checked the cable days ago and the corrosion they pointed out I cleaned and didn’t think to follow the cable to the starter to see it nearly in half 3.5ft from the terminal.

That one burned me on my old pickup. Rotten cable halfway down. Made contact when driving normally but start hot rodding around the engine torquing up was enough for it to lose contact. Sent the voltmeter all wonky. I spent about 4 months trying to figure it out lol.

Good job finding your problem. It's not easy, mostly stress. Simple fixes like this make the next one easier.
You won't forget these lessons.
You can go to most welding supply stores and get copper cable cheaper and put the ends on. Don't forget the solder.
Good luck.Gix1k Thanks this. -
^^^^Yeah good point.^^^^ Alot cheaper to make your own instead oem. You can also go to a place that rebuilds starters and alternators and get the parts or have them make it for you.

Definitely want 2 hot cables from batteries to starter.
lester Thanks this. -
Are you saying the positive cable I am replacing today, I should run two of those to starter and connect to 2 of the 4 batteries?Rideandrepair Thanks this.
