Lets hope that you will be back behind the wheel soon.
I really don't see how anyone can haul for under a $1.00 mile but you are seeing more and more loads on the boards right at a $1.00![]()

One correction to what you said, Non-dedicated company drivers didn't take the one cent pay cut. We lost pretty much everything but the penny.
I spoke to mine & he told me that ALL FM's took a 5% pay cut.
#### right, we will never get any of that stuff back!
Survival mode is what I'm in now & being here isn't a part of that anymore.
Enjoy it while you can, its a fact that you will run your butt off when your new. You cost less to run then those with 1+ years, once you are nolonger a money maker to them you will notice a drop in miles.
Give them time, I'm sure they are working on that one.
Now that they don't have to pay for late hometime, where is the incentive for the company to get you home?
Done, I'm so done.
The ship is sinking & I'm getting my life jacket on folks...
That job in Alaska I found is starting to sound a lot more interesting.jess-juju Thanks this. -
# L.B. - I may not drive, but I do know business. There is cause and effect to every situation. In this case, there is generally lower demand for products at the consumer. The freight is down which forces the trucking companies to respond by trying to buy up as much freight as possible while the demand is minimal. Trucking companies and brokers then have to respond by bidding lower on freight. There simply is not enough freight, and what little freight there is is moving for lower rates, driving the costs up for companies and salaries down for drivers.

So in other words the only really screwed guys are the dedicated, who don't get detention and stuff like that anyway.
