I am a small fleet owner with 3 trucks leased to a flatbed company and i cannot find decent drivers. Every driver wants a grand a week and home every weekend. In this economy i would like that deal also but it's not gonna happen. My one steady driver works his ### off and makes about 800 weekly. I would think drivers would be able to live on that.(40k year)
i have one truck that is available just about all the time.
I wonder where all the good qualified people are?

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.
good drivers

Trucking Jobs in 30 seconds
Every month 400 people find a job with the help of TruckersReport.

The old saying >good help is hard to find< was most likely started by a hard working person like you....
It really applies to the trucking industry..... -
Well i have to disagree with you. I am home a full day during the week and every weekend and average $1100-$1200 a week for between 50 - 60 hours.
$1000 a week divided by 14 hours a day 5 days a week = $14.29 per hour that doesn't include the other 10 hours a day gone from home which is another 50 hours a week. So if you add that in you get $8.33 per hour. That's why you and others have trouble finding good drivers because most good drivers wouldn't work for less than that. I sure as hell wouldn't. That's part of why this industry has went to hell is because these cutthroat companies and drivers who will work for #### pay. The old saying that was referred to above, "you get what you pay for" I have to agree you pay #### wages you get #### drivers.cynicalsailor, Evilcapitalist, mizdageeragn and 2 others Thank this. -

Well, I'll leave the radio left on a better channel than he will! ^ How about that?
-
Oh yeah? I'll keep the left door closed, and I'll keep the truck clean! Neener, neener, neener!

You shouldnt have a problem finding a driver on here, there are plenty of drivers looking for work now, myself included and any money or job is better then none in this economy. I live in oregon and have called atleast 50 companys to hear no freight on west coast or we dont hire out of oregon. I'd love to drive but no Fb experience. wouldnt mind teaming either
good luck. -
OK Boys and Girls here's where the rubber meets the road. Fleet owner looking for drivers, leased to a company. Driver's make $800.00 a week. Look at all the post's in here about drivers looking for work. Griping about dispatchers, companies, policy, etc. I would work for this man in a heartbeat. My kind of place. Why? 1. Non forced dispatch. 2. I bet he will let you treat the truck like it's yours. 3. Wanna learn to be an O/O. Here's the way to do it and the experience will do anyone a world of good. JMO but my first GOOD job in the industry was working for just such a person. Good Luck to you sir finding a good driver and if I wasn't retired I'd be knocking on your door.

Torch...I might be willing to consider it if that part about running the truck like its mine is true.
PM me with what you have to offer an experienced flat bedder that only requires getting home once every 4 weeks (I stay home 1 day for every week I'm out)
