I’m taking my T680 from the van side to the flatbed side, hopefully I won’t have to do too many modifications as far as fifth wheel height exhaust etc.. Can you guys give me any input as to whether it will be a smooth transition as far as the truck goes? I in now y’all usually run mid-roofs, this is a condo.

U should be fine. Plenty of regular condo trucks running flatbed. I used to run a cascadia condo fleet spec truck with no problemsrandypinenc Thanks this.

I run a '13 condo T680 dragging a flatbed. Zero modifications necessary. I will be adding a cabinet behind the sleeper sometime this year (currently have a bulkhead mounted to the trailer with a chain rack).

Cool deal. I used to drive a VERY small ProStar, so this additional living space is important.

It will work just fine. We have a 250 truck fleet with 230+ running mostly van spec’d condos. It will work just fine.

Here’s some food for thought, some shippers will require tarps if you have stacks, some change them to weed burners, to save them from tarpingLast edited: Mar 22, 2020
ChevyCam and randypinenc Thank this. -
A pro to this is if the load is shorter than your cab you know the height is good to go
