2 years on the road at the end of the month. Got my first random dot inspection today hailing hazmat across Missouri on i70.
It was a level 1.
Passed with flying colors.

 

Way to go Ultratowel! Congrats on the 2 years. Be safe out there until you get back to Orlando. Orange and Osceola counties are on mandatory curfew from 11pm-7am.

Any idea if these curfews apply to us? I am typically a night driver been starting around 1am lately

My understanding is everyone who does not work in an essential job (police, fire, medical, gas stations, food stores and drivers delivering the necessary products). It is a broad list so I do not know how they can prevent people from being out without proof of where they work. Good luck to you and be safe out there.

 

Fairly certain you are correct. My company sent us out a letter that we can present to authorities if they happen to ask why we are out and about

 

It's going to take an awful lot of law enforcement people or military to control everyone in this country if they force a total "shelter in place" order. Look at what people are doing in the grocery stores. It is total pandemonium now with empty shelves. Hell even the extra hour in the AM for us seniors doesn't matter because there isn't anything on the shelves.

Being as the wife and I became full time RVers after I retired from driving 44 years I'm very unsure about leaving this Rv park in Winter Haven, Fl. to continue our journey on to NC and Tn. for fear of being stopped on a highway for closed borders somewhere.

So everyone here on CFI please be safe and careful out there. Hopefully we'll get through this and Armagedden is not about to happen.
